The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens is a museum found in Jacksonville, Florida that showcases art. It was founded by Ninah Cumming, who bequeathed many paintings and art collections to the new museum, which was dedicated in 1960. Ninah Cumming always encouraged visitors to take some sort of tour with them before visiting her museum. This is because she believed that she could share some of the secrets about how she created her masterpieces with the help of her visitors. She had designed all the paintings and sculptures using materials that she bought in the many local stores around the area. In addition, she was an active member of the local community, encouraging people to visit her museum and enjoy their visit. The Cumming Museum of Art and Gardens was actually named after her and Ninah Cumming Gardens.
